With Jon at the Acadamy this past week the kids and I took a trip down to my folks house to spend a few days. My sister, Rebecca, and her boy, Kayden, came over too.
Usually when I visit Jon is there to help with the kids so I can get a good visit. This time it was Rebecca. She helped out a lot with my kids this trip so I could help cook, clean-up, pack, or visit. She was a big help to me. She, also, suggested and help arrange the lunchon with our Great Nephew (Braxton), our neices (Kathy and Veronica), and our sisiter (Carma). We had a nice visit and had fun seeing all the babies.
This is a four generation picture: Carma (my sister) and my mom in the back, Kathy holding her son Braxton in the front.
The moms and babies: Me holding Henry on the left, Kathy and Braxton in the middle, and Rebecca holding Kayden on the right.
This was a fun picture of my kids taken on my parents' Frontroom floor. Eliza and Henry in the top and Maren on the bottom.
Henry is smiling!
This is the girls all ready to go out with their grandpa and help do the chores. Notice Eliza is holding a fly swatter. She loved help swatting the flies, too. They would go out with Grandpa and feed the animals, gather eggs, and / or dig potatoes. Eliza didn't like getting dirty. Her favorite was gathereing eggs and digging potatoes. Maren loved helping Grandpa unless he was doing dishes in hot water.
Eliza on the phone with her dad. Each night Jon would call and talk to each of his girls (including me). This was a highlight to our evenings.
Grandpa enjoying the evening and his grandson, Henry, under the deck.
Skeeter (the dog) entertaining Maren and Eliza.
Maren and Eliza gathering eggs.
Maren feeding Noisie some hay.
Maren and Eliza like to pose for the camera. Here they are in front of Noisie.
Eliza watching the calves get fed from Pinkie lee.
This is Maren's favorite animal on the farm, Cinderella The Horse. We had a lot of fun and it was nice to spend so much time with family. It is nice to live so close again.
Maren has made it well known lately that she wants to be married in the Salt Lake Temple, so on our way home we stopped to see the spot. It didn't decide to rain until after we got out of the car, so we ran inside the Church History Library to wait it out. Two hours later it was time to go, before the rain stopped. This is as good of a picture we could get...this trip.
